Four Sinclairs, Four Tartans: A Heritage Moment and Your Guide to Tartan Families
With Colorado Tartan Day just around the corner (April 11–12 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont), there's no better time to talk tartans: what they mean, why there are so many variations, and how a chance encounter at a Tartan Day celebration became one member's favorite Scottish heritage story. A Scottish Night in Colorado: My First Ceilidh
As a lover of Celtic culture, finding a ceilidh in my area was a dream come true. The St Andrew Society of Colorado hosted a ceilidh to celebrate St Andrew’s Day. I dedicated myself to going and seeing what it was like. As someone who barely knew the dances or etiquette, I was a little nervous, but I was welcomed with open arms. The country club was a beautiful venue. As you walked through the doors into the room, you saw big circular tables, a small bar, and a dance floor w

It's a full-blown cultural event that somehow manages to be both ancient tradition and the best night of the year, all rolled into one. And honestly? Those of us keepi
