Chieftain's Awards & Tartan Award
Every year the president (previously chieftain) awards three individuals with the prestigious Chieftain’s award (pending name change). The awards go to a piper, drummer, and dancer that has displayed dedication to the Scottish community in Colorado. The individuals are nominated and selected by a review of all bios submitted. GECKO Hospitality: Two Scots Come To Colorado
Back in September, the St. Andrew Society was invited out to Boulder to meet two young Scots who traveled from Scotland to spend a week at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Kaitlyn McGibbon (Glasgow) and Ben Smith (Loch Lomond) were awarded the prestigious HIT Scotland scholarship that gave them the opportunity to spend 5 days training at the Boulder campus.
